Building and maintaining good working relationships with our licensees and sub-suppliers. Pro-actively gathering production feed-back and giving input about welding manufacturing processes and technologies to the WCH Design department. Establishing cutting edge knowledge in the field of weld quality control and welding engineering technology. Transferring this knowledge in-house as well as to Licensees and their sub-suppliers. Support in the set-up of and active participation in QA & QC systems on-site with sub-suppliers. Flexibility to travel and work at different places in China and occasionally within Asia. Desired Skills: Flexibility to travel and to work at different places in China and occasionally within Asia. Coaching, instructing & Teaching the workforce at the licensees and their sub-suppliers Industrial experience and knowledge in welding Experience with the quality management & assurance system Experience with international welding standards Education: Degree in Mechanical or Materials engineering (equivalent to B.Sc.) Alternatively Professional education in metal fabrication. Qualification in Welding Engineering Experience: Experience in Manufacturing, Quality Control and Assurance of Welded structures (preferably of Machinery, Ships, Offshore structures, Boiler and Pressure vessels or dynamically loaded structural steel components) Familiar with Engineering Codes and technical Specifications (e.g. Technical Rules of Shipping Classification Societies, ASME Sec. IX , VIII , EN- and ISO Standards) Familiar with Engineering drawings
