-For our Energy Sector in Beijing, we are looking for a WS Commissioning Engineer.
-This position is for a highly motivated Technician in Field Services Department, responsible for start-up, commissioning, trouble shooting, training and field technical support for wet air oxidation, de-oiling, biological treatment, carbon absorption and membrane technologies. Additional duties may include O&M manual direction, training document preparation, performance testing and field pilot studies.
What are my responsibilities?
-Perform start-up, commissioning, training, performance testing and troubleshooting of various up and downstream water treating systems.
-Coordinate and conduct on site up and downstream water treating system field pilot studies.
-Become proficient on wet air oxidation, de-oiling, biological treatment, carbon absorption and membrane technologies, both pilot and full scale
-Coordinate and conduct on-site performance testing of pilot and full scale wet air oxidation, de-oiling, biological treatment, carbon absorption and membrane systems.
-Proficiency in writing reports on field performance and making recommendations for design improvement to engineering
-Understand how to and implement when necessary, intellectual property ideas
-Conduct factory testing and inspection and develop needed punch lists
-Perform system walkthroughs utilizing P&IDs to determine if system is complete
-Oversee on-site uncrating operations to determine equipment state
What do I need to qualify for this job?
Qualified candidates will have the following ability:
-An understanding of water treatment and de-oiling processes and equipment. (piping, valves, instruments, pumps, motors, compressors, process control and pressure vessels)
-An above average mechanical aptitude with hands on/field experience
-An understanding of basic chemistry
-Experience with biological water treatment systems
-Ability in Microsoft Office Word and Excel
-Auto CAD, preferred but not required
-An understanding of PLC logic
-Excellent verbal and communication skills
-High school equivalence required. Minimum 3-5 years of experience required. A degree in chemistry or biology is a plus.
