Provides “up to date” engineering advice and support to Transport, Installation Engineering, Projects and Sales. Responsibilities: Impact on Business: · Provides drafting support to design engineers including structural, marine and transport engineers. · Communicates with design engineers about the drafting requirements. · Works closely with the design engineers to work out the drawings for all kinds of offshore, transport and installation projects · Answers enquiries or contracts through collection, analysis and use of all necessary information needed for a successful process. · Prepares drawings and has documents checked and approved. Internal & External Customers/Suppliers as well as Third Parties: · Gives support to other disciplines by using drawings, using industry standard and internal software. · Offers (un)requested advice to ensure a safe and successful project execution. Innovation and Change: · Assists in the development and improvement of drafting procedures, standard, work flow and tools (Microstation and Projectwise). · Gives support to contribute to the development, implementation and maintenance of the business processes with required tools (Microstation and Projectwise). Requirements: Educational Background: College degree or above in ocean engineering, ship structural or relevant fields. Professional Knowledge: · Relevant Experience in the offshore structural design/drafting field. · Familiar with the design of at least one of the three offshore platforms: Jacket, Semi-submersible and Jackup.
