bureau veritas first presence in china was with its marine business in 1901. in 1993, bureau veritas set up a new office in shanghai. now it has around 30 offices in china supporting over 3,000 clients, with more than 5,000 employees working in the greater china region. in china, bureau veritas business operations are under 4 divisions: marine, industry & facilities, consumer product services, a n d government services & international trade. the marine division provides expertise services in ship classification a n d related services such as certification, training a n d consultancy. the services cover the entire ship’s life cycle, fro m design stage through to the surveys of vessels in operation, a n d their decommissioning. by partnering with our clients, we bring value to ship-owners, shipbuilders, shipyards, equipment manufacturers, insurers, brokers a n d flag states. the industry & facilities division serves more than 2,000 clients with a large scope of services such as certification, inspection, construction project management, a n d technical consulting.for example we inspected the turbines a n d generators for the three gorges dam project, we certify off-shore a n d 4>岗位职责: Job deion: - Bridge the technical issues implementing PSPC between statutory regulations 〔PSPC and IMO coating requirements development in the coming time） and industry in practice. - Contact with Head Office for related interpretation with regulations and rules. - Provide professionally consultancy service for clients in compliance with the PSPC. - Fulfill the gap analysis/audit of the shipyards conditions assessment for application of PSPC. - Deal with the disputes raised between owner and shipyard regarding implementing PSPC independently - Deliver the training for internal and external clients independently and provide certification upgrading support as request 〔East Asia）. - Provide the presentation of theoretic and practical requirement on kinds of seminar/committee. - Assist site surveyors to fulfill the review of CTF 〔including IA） and site verification. - Draw up and maintain BV’s guidance/industry R&D knowledge/training material etc. associated with coatings 〔PSPC）. Qualification & Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in naval architecture, or other related chemical specialty. - At least 6~8 years significant marine coatings inspector experience or in coating manufacturer engaging in coating inspection related works for marine new building or in-service is necessary. - Knowledge of shipyard manufacturing and coating application, previous professional work experiences in shipyard is preferable. - NACE Level II or FROSIO Level III Certified. - Good command of English language, both oral and written is required, the working language is English. - Have good knowledge of computer. - Have good communication skills, ability of training and presentation as well. - Strong team player and ability to work under pressure and independently, Responsible and diligent. - Home base at Shanghai.
